Sustainability strategy
As a leading manufacturer in the construction machinery sector, we are aware of our impact and responsibility for the environment. This awareness is also reflected in the Putzmeister vision of creating a world in which housing and infrastructure are affordable and sustainable.
The development of a climate strategy, which is to be decided and published by the end of 2024, is therefore fundamental. This strategy includes our long-term goals and measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change.
We are also looking at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and evaluating how Putzmeister's activities are already contributing to achieving these goals and can do so in the future.
Sustainability reporting
In order to enable comprehensive sustainability reporting, we are already actively preparing for the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) for the 2025 financial year in 2024. As part of this initiative, we are currently conducting a double materiality analysis to find out what impact we as a company have on the environment and what impact the environment also has on us.
In addition, we prepare a detailed Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 analysis to precisely quantify our direct and indirect environmental impact. This holistic approach enables us to gain a comprehensive overview of our environmental footprint not only at a local but also at a global level.
The full CSRD report will be available in 2026.
